Bengal Bouts

I had my first experience with the sport of boxing last night. Simon bought tickets to the Bengal Bouts...from what I understand, all the proceeds go to help end hunger in Africa (or some other good cause I can't remember). I went in with an open mind, though still thinking I wouldn't enjoy it, but I'm really glad I went. Boxing is amazing. I would have stayed till the end of it had I not felt a need to go and sleep as soon as I could (dang mono...).

I never found a sport I could really get into. Freshman year up till this past fall I thought it was football, but no. I was wrong. Football is interesting, but only mildly. Truth be told, I'm really sick of being basically on the field and never seeing any action. It's why I'm not doing band next year. Maybe I'll actually get to see a football game. That, and I won't have to wake up at the ass-crack of dawn for six Saturdays in a row so I can help wake everybody else on ND's campus. I'd rather wake up at ten, go get a steak lunch at the K of C, walk around with some friends, and then meet Simon to go make fun of the band members we still know at inspection, finishing by SEEING A FOOTBALL GAME. Without the antics of a certain unnamed section of the band making me guilty by association.

(Not that I'm bitter or anything...)

So yeah. We'll see how I do with boxing. :-)
